Print of Yellowstone Park 150th Anniversary
Susan Davis' design for this poster was influenced by the American Art and Crafts movement and the Art Deco movement. The Arts and Crafts movement dates circa 1910-1930. This represents a transition from Art Nouveau into Art Deco. The Art Deco movement dates circa 1925-1940. There are aspects of this poster that are both Arts and Crafts and Art Deco. However, the design and style of this poster is unique. It is the creation of a complex and talented Montana artist who spent years visiting and interacting with the park.
The poster is dated and one-of-a-kind. When it goes out of print it will become even more collectible.
