MAKUN (ma-kuun) - meaning “ traditional blanket” in the native Chilean dialect. Rich earth tones, subtle textures and ancient techniques combine to produce the Makun collection. Crafted on ancient looms and utilizing natural dyes from bark, leaves, clay and moss, color and dimension come together to bring nature to the home.
A line of luxury textiles handcrafted on Chiloé, a remote island off the coast of Chile. Fusing elements of striking individual design with traditional weaving and knitting, the textiles are made from 100% natural wool and are crafted using techniques dating from the 16th century, passed down within the Huilliche community.
